Ernesto Lopes is the president and chief executive officer of AHS Residential. He co-founded AHS Residential in 2012 as a full-service real estate company with a mission to relieve the rent burden on American families. Together with his team, he strategizes ways to innovate and disrupt a sector that has long catered to high-income residents.
Ernesto has over 30 years of experience in construction and real estate across three continents. As a structural engineer in his native Brazil, he worked on bridges, high-rise buildings, and dams. He was also involved in the planning, development, and expansion of hundreds of temporary stadiums and structures for events including the Olympics, the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and several Formula One Grand Prix Races.
A long-time resident of South Florida, Ernesto founded Portland Services, a full-service construction company in Miami in 1999. He also served as President and CEO of the Greenwich Development Group where he was responsible for more than $450 million in commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Ernesto Lopes is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a graduate of the Owner/President Management (OPM) Program and the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate (ADMP).
